Core Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of consolidated financial statements and support month-end close processes
• Oversee key accounting areas, including cash, insurance-related accounts, goodwill, and retirement plans
• Review work and provide guidance to staff accountants, contributing to team development
• Partner with finance and operational teams to deliver actionable financial insights
• Research and apply technical accounting guidance in accordance with GAAP
• Support quarterly and annual audit processes, including documentation and analysis
• Build and maintain forecasting models to support quarterly and annual planning cycles
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally within a Big 4 or large public accounting environment
• CPA license or active pursuit strongly preferred
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and presentation skills

Preferred:

• MBA, completed CPA, or other advanced credentials
• Experience with systems such as HFM, Oracle, MicroStrategy, or OneStream
• Exposure to data tools such as Alteryx, R, or automation technologies
• Solid understanding of GAAP and corporate finance principles
