Job Description Travel Nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit – Jupiter, Florida Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 06/01/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Work Hours: 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel Qualifications Active RN License Degree from an accredited nursing program BLS & ACLS Certifications Minimum eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care PCU/Step‑down setting Additional requirements may be determined by the client facility Duties and Responsibilities Progressive Care Nurses (PCU) monitor patients requiring close observation and frequent assessment, but who are not unstable enough to need ICU care. They track cardiac and other vital signs, identify changes, and enable timely intervention in life‑threatening or emergency situations. Many PCU patients receive complex medications that may require titration based on vital signs. Monitor and assess patients who are not unstable enough to require ICU care. Utilize computer equipment to monitor cardiac and other vital information, detecting changes and facilitating prompt intervention.
