Tampa General Hospital is seeking a transformational Chief Compliance Officer to lead and unify compliance, privacy, and research compliance across one of the nation's fastest-growing academic health systems. This executive will have the opportunity to shape the future of the compliance function by developing the vision, strategy, governance, and operating model for a rapidly expanding, highly complex organization.

Position Highlights

Lead the integration of compliance, privacy, and research compliance across a large, multi-hospital academic health system.
Develop and execute an enterprise-wide compliance strategy supporting hospitals, physician enterprises, research programs, and academic partnerships.
Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership and collaborate with a broad range of senior stakeholders across the organization.
Drive organizational transformation, governance, and standardization across a complex and rapidly growing healthcare enterprise.
Build alignment across multiple existing compliance functions while creating a scalable future-state model.
Operate in a role with significant visibility, influence, and opportunity to make a lasting system-wide impact.

Qualifications

Extensive leadership experience in healthcare compliance, privacy, ethics, risk, or related regulatory functions.
Demonstrated success leading compliance transformation, integration, and organizational change in complex, matrixed environments.
Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements, compliance programs, investigations, privacy, and risk management.
Working knowledge of research compliance, clinical research operations, and academic medical center environments strongly preferred.
Proven ability to influence senior leaders, build relationships across diverse stakeholder groups, and drive enterprise-wide initiatives.
Exceptional communication, change management, and executive leadership skills.

Education & Certifications

Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related field required; JD, MD, PhD, or other advanced degree preferred.
Professional certification preferred, such as:
- Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC)
- Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC)
- Certified in Healthcare Research Compliance (CHRC)
- Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP)
