Chief Compliance Officer Tampa General Hospital Tampa General Hospital is seeking a transformational Chief Compliance Officer to lead and unify compliance, privacy, and research compliance across one of the nation's fastest-growing academic health systems. This executive will have the opportunity to shape the future of the compliance function by developing the vision, strategy, governance, and operating model for a rapidly expanding, highly complex organization. Position Highlights
- Lead the integration of compliance, privacy, and research compliance across a large, multi-hospital academic health system.
- Develop and execute an enterprise-wide compliance strategy supporting hospitals, physician enterprises, research programs, and academic partnerships.
- Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership and collaborate with a broad range of senior stakeholders across the organization.
- Drive organizational transformation, governance, and standardization across a complex and rapidly growing healthcare enterprise.
- Build alignment across multiple existing compliance functions while creating a scalable future-state model.
- Operate in a role with significant visibility, influence, and opportunity to make a lasting system-wide impact.
- Extensive leadership experience in healthcare compliance, privacy, ethics, risk, or related regulatory functions.
- Demonstrated success leading compliance transformation, integration, and organizational change in complex, matrixed environments.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements, compliance programs, investigations, privacy, and risk management.
- Working knowledge of research compliance, clinical research operations, and academic medical center environments strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to influence senior leaders, build relationships across diverse stakeholder groups, and drive enterprise-wide initiatives.
- Exceptional communication, change management, and executive leadership skills.
- Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related field required; JD, MD, PhD, or other advanced degree preferred.
- Professional certification preferred, such as:
- Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC)
- Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC)
- Certified in Healthcare Research Compliance (CHRC)
- Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP)
- Collaborative, relationship-oriented leader who leads through influence rather than authority.
- Strategic thinker who excels in complex and evolving environments.
- Proven ability to build consensus, create accountability, and navigate organizational complexity.
- Passion for creating high-performing teams, scalable infrastructure, and lasting organizational impact.
