Key Responsibilities Include:

As a primary care physician, your main tasks will encompass:

• Conducting evaluations, including performing history and physical examinations; diagnosing, consulting, and treating adult patients with medical conditions in a clinical setting with appropriate support and oversight.
• Providing routine women's health services such as pelvic exams, breast exams, cytologic pap smear testing, and cervical HPV testing.
• Performing procedures including laceration repairs, foreign body removals, abscess incisions and drainages, and wound debridement.
• Offering care through telemedicine, interpreting ECGs and radiographic studies preliminarily, and supervising residents, fellows, and trainees.

Additional Professional Opportunities for Eligible Candidates:

For qualified individuals, a portion of the role may involve working in the Obesity Medicine Clinic, depending on service needs and qualifications. Responsibilities in this area include:

• Evaluating and managing patients with obesity and related metabolic disorders.
• Collaborating closely with interdisciplinary team members.
• Following evidence-based clinical protocols and treatment pathways.

Moreover, the position may offer dedicated time as a preceptor for Stanford Medical Residents in the primary care continuity clinic, providing clinical supervision, teaching, and mentorship to resident physicians in an outpatient setting. The allocation of precepting time will depend on experience, clinic requirements, and alignment with program standards.

Benefits and Features

• Expected Salary Range: Between $294,308 and $315,000 (negotiable based on qualifications, credentials, and experience).

• Education Debt Reduction Program: Authorized for student loan repayment.

• Work Schedule: Full-time, with hours determined by the supervisor.

• Compensation: Competitive salary, annual performance bonuses, and regular salary increases.

• Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid leave annually (including 26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid federal holidays, and potentially 5 days for CME).

• Retirement Benefits: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and a federal 401K with contributions up to 5% by the organization.

• Insurance Coverage: Federal health, vision, dental, term life, and long-term care insurance (many federal programs can be continued into retirement).

• Licensure: One full and unrestricted license from any U.S. state or territory.

• CME Reimbursement: Up to $1,000 per year (must be full-time with board certification).

• Malpractice Coverage: Liability protection with tail coverage included.

• Contractual Terms: No Physician Employment Contract and minimal restrictions on moonlighting.
