Title: EPSO Systems Administrator Employee Classification: Other Professionals Institution: System Office Department: Academic Affairs Campus Location: Tennessee Board of Regents System Office Job Summary The EPSO LMS Administrator will work as the technical lead, coordinating with teams from the Tennessee Board of Regents to create, manage, and administer Statewide Dual Credit (SDC) exams to TN high school students, assist the EPSO Coordinator with technical support, data collection, reporting efforts, and teacher trainings, and assist the EPSO Director with supporting EPSO management and expansion efforts. This position requires high attention to detail, including manipulating large sets of student information and securely managing the resulting data sets, proficient knowledge in LMS functions, administration, and support, and the ability to handle multiple complex projects at once. This position may have the opportunity to work remote within the state of Tennessee but with periodic visits to the TBR System Office (Nashville, TN) at the employee’s expense, and potential travel to Tennessee TBR colleges may be necessary. Job Duties 25% - Maintain a detailed understanding of LMS functions and management, including course creation and cloning, user enrollment and management (account creation for SDC teachers, graders, and administrators), creating trainings applied to thousands of courses and classrooms across the TBR system, and developing, coordinating, and conducting training for all levels of LMS users. 20% - Manage and provide Tier 1 technical support for LMS issues to high school teachers and administrators, including policies and procedures, process consistency and compliance, quality performance, productivity, and day-to-day performance management. 20% - Collaborate with the EPSO Coordinator on day-to-day program facilitation, managing the contact list, optimizing processes, implementing mass‑marketing email campaigns, and maintaining and publishing documentation. 15% - Assist the Director of EPSO with systemwide support, data collection, analysis, dissemination to statewide partners, developing dashboards, advising, documentation, training, communications, delivery, policy, AI literacy, and serving as the EPSO contact point for postsecondary institutions. 10% - Dual Credit Exam Management: partner with TDOE administrators to deliver dual credit challenge exams each year, manage Respondus integration with D2L, and contract, train, and manage faculty groups grading for SDC. 5% - Facilitate and manage work required to bring all public facing EPSO team resources into compliance with WCAG 2.0 Level AA standards. 5% - Other assignments as given by the Director of EPSO. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field. 3 years administering an LMS. Experience providing technical support services and supporting course management systems. Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel. Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Instructional Design, Education, or a related field. 4+ years administering an LMS. Experience with D2L. Experience collaborating with SMEs to design and develop e-learning solutions. 3-5 years supervisory experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong attention to detail. Strong communication skills, including ability to communicate with senior leadership and end‑user customer service support. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office products. Strong problem‑solving skills. Significant critical thinking skills and ability to generate and evaluate multiple alternatives as part of decision‑making processes. Significant experience using learning management systems. Capacity to manage multiple competing priorities. Ability to develop and maintain a positive, collaborative work environment. Advanced technical skills in course management systems. Experience in OER curation, creation and management.
