Position Overview

We are hiring an experienced Medical Assistant (MA) for a full-time opportunity in Franklin, Indiana. This position is ideal for a healthcare professional who enjoys working directly with patients, supporting medical providers, and contributing to the daily operations of a busy outpatient practice.

Qualified candidates should have 2-3 years of recent Medical Assistant experience , with strong clinical proficiency in blood draws (phlebotomy) and injection administration .

Key Responsibilities
• Welcome patients, confirm personal and insurance details, and complete the intake process.
• Record vital signs, review medical histories, and prepare patients for provider visits.
• Support physicians and other healthcare professionals during examinations and minor procedures.
• Perform venipuncture, collect laboratory specimens, and administer injections according to established protocols.
• Provide medications as directed by licensed providers and within the permitted scope of practice.
• Observe patients for potential reactions or changes in condition and communicate concerns to the clinical team.
• Maintain accurate, timely patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• ssist with scheduling, diagnostic testing coordination, specialist referrals, and insurance approvals.
• Ensure examination rooms are clean, organized, stocked, and ready for patient appointments.
• Handle clinical specimens following appropriate collection, labeling, and processing procedures.
• Protect sensitive patient information and follow HIP nd workplace safety standards.
• Track clinical supplies, report equipment concerns, and help maintain efficient daily operations.
• Collaborate with providers and administrative staff to deliver a positive patient experience.

Required Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program, current Medical Assistant certification/licensure, or active progress toward obtaining certification/licensure.
• Minimum 2-3 years of recent experience working as a Medical Assistant.
• Demonstrated proficiency in performing blood draws and administering injections.
• Experience obtaining vital signs, documenting patient histories, and assisting with clinical procedures.
• Working knowledge of electronic medical records and standard clinical documentation.
• Strong interpersonal communication and patient service abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience in an outpatient medical office, primary care clinic, or physician practice.
