Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVOR position requiring 2+ years of cardiovascular and thoracic surgery experience and TX or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular/Thoracic Operating Room (OR-CV/Thor) of a hospital setting
• Perform open heart, open vascular, and endovascular surgical procedures
• 1:1 patient ratio
• AM shift schedule, Monday-Wednesday 6:30 AM-7:00 PM
• On-call responsibilities required
• Floating or weekend coverage only required if called in
• 13-week travel assignment

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• BLS certification (AHA only) required
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required, including open heart, open vascular, and endovascular surgery
• 2 professional references required
• Flu vaccination mandatory with no exemptions granted

Additional Information

• Coordinate patient care delivery using the nursing process, including assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe, individualized patient care throughout the surgical experience
• Scrub color required is royal blue
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this travel position
• Local candidates are not accepted for this role
