Supervisor Group Lead - Sample Management

Eurofins Agroscience Services North Carolina

Eurofins seeks a Supervisor Group Lead for Sample Management in Lancaster, PA to oversee daily laboratory operations and lead sample handling personnel. The role combines employee management, workflow coordination, quality compliance, and operational improvement while serving as liaison between Sample Management, Project Management, and laboratory teams.

Responsibilities

Supervise Sample Management employees, provide coaching, and conduct performance reviews and career development discussions
Coordinate daily operations including workload distribution, scheduling, shift huddles, and priority communication
Address employee concerns, conduct interviews, manage onboarding, and maintain training records
Monitor and report departmental performance metrics, workflow status, and operational bottlenecks to leadership
Oversee sample storage systems, support ASRS troubleshooting, and ensure compliance with quality and safety procedures

Requirements

High school diploma minimum; bachelor's degree in physical or biological science preferred
1+ years sample entry, interpretation, or technical laboratory experience
Professional English proficiency; authorization to work in US without sponsorship
4+ years sample management or lab experience and TALS/LIMS expertise preferred
Previous leadership or supervisory experience with demonstrated mentoring abilities
Strong understanding of chain-of-custody, sample lifecycle, and lab workflows
Ability to manage multiple priorities, resolve complex issues, and communicate across organizational levels
