Your recruiter will provide the most up-to-date details during the hiring process._ **How you'll make an impact in this role** + Expertly position patients to provide the best exposure for surgical procedures, utilizing stabilizing equipment while prioritizing patient comfort and safety. + Provide clear visualization of the operative site through tissue manipulation, retraction, sponging, suctioning, and irrigation. + Utilize advanced techniques to achieve both temporary and permanent homeostasis during procedures. + Assist with body plane closures, the application of wound dressings, and the securing of drainage systems. + Partner with the surgical team to prep the suite according to specific surgeon preference cards, ensuring all instruments and resources are ready. + Support post-case efficiency by assisting with room cleanup and the removal of soiled case carts, supplies, and trash. **What minimum requirements you'll need** Licensure / Certification / Registration: + BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. + One or more of the following required: + Surgical Assistant credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and SurgicalAssisting (NBSTSA) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. + Surgical Assistant credentialed from the American Board of Surgical Assistants (ABSA) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
