Vocational Specialist

The primary purpose of this position is to provide community-based, in-home individual and family interventions and supports to clients with mental health and substance use disorders receiving Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team services, with interventions that are strength-based and focused on promoting symptom stability, enhancing coping and relational abilities, and supporting the highest level of community functioning. This role involves working with clients, families, and natural supports to deliver a wide range of services, including service coordination, crisis assessment and intervention, symptom assessment and management, vocational assessment and rehabilitation, work-related services, activities of daily living assistance, providing support to ensure basic necessities are met, and offering education support and consultation. Duties also include providing consultation to the ACT team on employment, housing, and education issues, acting as an advocate for clients and their supports within the community, and developing and evaluating person-centered plans to ensure that services meet client needs. The Vocational Specialist participates in collaborative client assessment and treatment planning, delivering services in the client's home and in the community to promote integration and stabilization as part of a comprehensive treatment team alongside a licensed provider completing the diagnostic intake.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant human services field required, Master's degree preferred.
• At least one year of experience working with adults required.
• Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) eligibility required.
• A combination of education, experience, and training indicating the possession of the essential knowledge, skills, and abilities required.
• Must possess a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and the ability to provide your own transportation.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• May be exposed to allergenic environments from client's homes, including dust, smoke, pet contamination, cleaning supplies, etc.
• May be exposed to clients with infectious diseases.
• Must be able to drive for long periods of time to travel in and out of the catchment area as needed.
• Must be able to walk distances, climb and descend stairs, maneuver in and out of agency vehicles.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 25 pounds at times.

SALARY: $55,145 - $63,281
