This role as a Facilities Maintenance Tech is responsible for the daily operation, preventive maintenance, and repairs heavily focusing on, and including, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, life safety and fire protection systems to ensure proper facility operations. The Facilities Maintenance Tech will maintain and operate equipment that supports a variety of operations – labs, clean rooms, office space, plant equipment, data centers, and warehouses. They will work closely with senior level Mechanics for guidance & prioritization.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.Performs repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment.Typically performs work in one or more of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical, sheet metal fabrication, and welding.Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment.Uses hand and power tools.Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machines and equipment.Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.Preferred Qualifications:Electrical experienceGeneral knowledge of dock door repairsGeneral knowledge of paint, sheetrock and concrete repairKnowledge of Air compressorsKnowledge of material handling vehiclesBoiler license 1st classKnowledge of HVAC, electrical and/or plumbing systemsKnowledge with Building Automation Systems (BAS)Knowledge with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)Knowledge with Fire/Life Safety SystemsRequired Knowledge and Experience:Requires minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.Requires high school diploma, or equivalent.Physical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.The physical demands described within the Responsibilities section of this job description are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. PR) locations (USD): $49,600.00 - $74,400.00 This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.
