Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurses (RNs) to support a newly opened PCU unit. The role will involve caring for Medical-Surgical (MS)/Tele, PCU, and critical care patients, with potential float shifts to various areas as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the PCU, MS/Tele, and critical care settings.
• Monitor patient conditions and administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with medical and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Assist in the training and orientation of new nursing staff.
• Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with hospital policies.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols within the unit.

Patient Ratios

• Medical-Surgical/Tele: 6 patients to 1 nurse
• Critical Care: 2 patients to 1 nurse

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience in PCU, MS/Tele, or critical care preferred.
• Candidates must be willing to obtain TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) and TCAR (Trauma Care After Resuscitation) certifications within 30 days of starting.
• Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills.

Schedule Details

This position is for a Day shift, 4x12-hour schedule (07:00 - 19:00). There are no block schedules available.

When to Start

Ideal candidates are encouraged to start no later than October 20, with an earlier start date of October 6 preferred.
