As a Speech Therapist in a healthcare facility, you will provide specialized care to a diverse patient population including adults and children. You will manage a typical caseload of fewer than 10 patients, delivering personalized therapy plans to improve speech, communication, and swallowing functions. Your role involves both assessment and intervention, utilizing assistive technologies to support patient progress.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify speech and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Educate patients and families on therapy techniques and progress
- Perform detailed speech evaluations
- Provide communication skills training tailored to patient needs
- Deliver swallowing therapy interventions
- Integrate assistive technology to enhance patient outcomes
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in speech therapy
