Polk Freightliner is part of a group of family-owned dealerships located in Haines City, Florida. Our owners and Managers are involved in operations on a daily basis and operate under the best interest of our customers and our team members.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Maintenance person to join our team.

• Perform facility Maintenance
• Ensure that all Maintenance projects or concerns are handled in a timely and professional manner.
• Support facilities maintenance efforts by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs promptly
• Assist with routine cleaning of assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas as needed.
• Assist with floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and waxing to maintain polished surfaces.
• Handle industrial cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Assist as needed with maintaining cleanliness in facilities by emptying trash bins, sanitizing surfaces, and restocking supplies.
• Assist with custodial duties including window washing, carpet cleaning, and general upkeep of the facility.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while performing all tasks.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Building Maintenance Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building maintenance and have strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and facilities maintenance and help to sustain cleanliness and order in Polk Freightliner facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance/cleaning tasks and a commitment to high standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform facility Maintenance
• Ensure that all Maintenance projects or concerns are handled in a timely and professional manner.
• Support facilities maintenance efforts by performing any repairs or maintenance needs promptly
• Assist with routine maintenance of assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas as needed.
• Assist with floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and waxing to maintain polished surfaces.
• Handle industrial cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and EPA regulations.
• Assist as needed with maintaining facilities.
• Assist with custodial, and maintenance duties as a team.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while performing all tasks.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial building maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance and floor care techniques including buffing and waxing, painting, and resurfacing.
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices and equipment.
• Ability to clean, repair and maintain various types of facilities effectively.
• Experience in facilities maintenance is a plus.
• Basic skills in residential painting are advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team while managing time efficiently.
