What Your Days Look Like Here

This is a hands-on, full-cycle accounting role supporting both financial operations and project profitability. You'll work directly alongside the CFO, manage core AR/AP functions, and play a key role in our construction job costing and project financial workflows.

Accounts Receivable

• Prepare and send accurate customer invoices
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances
• Record payments and maintain customer account records
  

Accounts Payable

• Process vendor and subcontractor invoices accurately and on time
• Match invoices, POs, and receipts; manage lien waivers
• Maintain payment schedules and positive vendor relationships

Job Costing & Construction Finance

• Track and allocate job costs labor, materials, and subcontractors to the correct projects
• Support WIP (Work in Progress) reporting and project financial summaries
• Work within JobTread (our project management platform) alongside QuickBooks Online
• Assist with data flow through Controller AI to QuickBooks

Financial Operations & Reporting

• Perform bank, credit card, and AR/AP reconciliations
• Support month-end and year-end close procedures
• Maintain clean, accurate records in QuickBooks Online
• Collaborate with the CFO and operations team to resolve discrepancies and support reporting

You're a Strong Fit If You

• 3 - 6 years of accounting, AR/AP, or bookkeeping experience
• Construction accounting experience strongly preferred
• QuickBooks Online proficiency required QuickBooks Desktop experience is a plus
• Construction project management software experience (JobTread, Buildertrend, or similar) strongly preferred
• Understand job costing, WIP schedules, lien waivers, and subcontractor management
• Critical thinker you identify issues, flag them, and come to the table with solutions
• Can multitask and adapt in a fast-moving environment without losing accuracy
• Communicate clearly, follow through consistently, and take ownership of your work

Please note: This is a fully on-site position based in Phoenix Metro (East Valley Apache Junction, AZ). Remote or hybrid arrangements are not available.

Education: High school diploma required; post-secondary accounting or finance education is an asset.
