Weekend LPN Charge Nurse: Elevate Resident Care

Title: Licensed Practical Nurse State Role Title: Licensed Practical Nurse Hiring Range: $42.00 per hour Pay Band: 3 Agency: Dept of Veterans Services Location: Sitter-Barfoot Veterans Care Job Duties Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center (SBVCC) is recruiting for an LPN Floor Nurse with Charge Nurse responsibilities for the following shifts: 7AM - 3:30PM every weekend (Saturday & Sunday) 3PM - 11:30PM every weekend (Saturday & Sunday) 3PM - 11:30PM every Tuesday & Thursday Part‑time wage employees are not eligible for benefits and hours are limited to 1,500 hours per year (May 1 - April 30). Duties include: Administer medications and treatment accurately for assigned residents. Consult with physicians; receive, record, and implement orders and schedule appointments. Document residents’ health changes via acute care nurse’s notes and shift change nursing reports. Formulate plans of care for new residents and prepare all required reports and documentation. Conduct daily rounds; observe and evaluate the physical and emotional status of assigned residents and take necessary actions to ensure their health and well‑being. Maintain equipment, supplies, and materials necessary for nursing care; consult with Nursing Supervisor/Unit Manager as needed. Minimum Qualifications Must be licensed as a Practical Nurse in Virginia. Additional Considerations Nursing experience in a long‑term care or adult geriatric setting.
