Elwood Staffing is hiring experienced Machine Operators for a local manufacturing opportunity! We are looking for candidates who have a strong mechanical background and extensive hands-on experience working with industrial machinery. Candidates with advanced automotive mechanical experience or Tool & Die experience are also encouraged to apply!
1st Shift Monday–Friday | 6:45 AM–3:00 PM
2nd Shift Monday–Friday | 2:45 PM–11:00 PM
3rd Shift Sunday–Thursday | 10:45 PM–7:00 AM

Machine Setup & Operations Technician Details:
- Temp-to-Hire position
- $21.00 / hour
- Full Time work available
- Various shifts available ( Sunday through Saturday from 06:45am to 03:00pm )
- Operate and monitor industrial production machinery
- Load and unload parts and materials into equipment
- Set up and adjust machines for production runs
- Monitor equipment for proper operation and performance
- Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and adjustments
- Inspect finished parts for defects and quality issues
- Use measuring tools to verify parts meet specifications
- Complete machine changeovers as needed
- Follow work orders and production requirements
- Perform physically demanding production duties throughout the shift
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
Machine Setup & Operations Technician Qualifications:
- Extensive machine operating experience preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude required
- Advanced automotive mechanical experience will be considered
- Automotive experience must include mechanical repair beyond basic oil changes and tire changes
- Tool & Die experience is a strong plus
- Must be comfortable troubleshooting and making mechanical adjustments
- Must have a stable work history with demonstrated longevity
- Must be dependable with good attendance
- Must be able to work overtime before/after scheduled shifts and/or weekends when required
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
