Interim Director of Nursing (DON)

Job Type:  Full-time, Contract/Interim
Schedule:  Monday–Friday, Day Shift
Location:  Traveling role — communities throughout Minnesota
Pay:  $49-$54 per hour | Based on experience

Senior Care Solutions partners with skilled nursing and assisted living communities across Minnesota during leadership transitions, staffing gaps, and organizational change. As our Interim DON or DHS, you'll step into a community, stabilize clinical operations, coach the team, and leave things stronger than you found them — then do it again somewhere new.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the Interim DON or DHS for skilled nursing and assisted living communities.
• Lead day-to-day clinical operations while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Coach, mentor, and support nursing teams through leadership transitions.
• Partner with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team to maintain exceptional resident care.
• Assess clinical operations and implement improvements quickly.
• Complete required clinical documentation and state reporting.

What You'll Need

Required Qualifications

• Current Minnesota RN license in good standing.
• Working knowledge of Minnesota long-term care regulations.
• Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

• Compact RN license.
• Experience with Medicare/Medicaid survey readiness.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a DON, DHS, or in an equivalent nursing leadership role within skilled nursing or assisted living.

Compensation

• $49-$54 per hour | Based on experience
