Mental Health Therapist

Position Summary Join a dedicated team supporting the emotional well-being and success of students. The Mental Health Therapist will provide individual, group, family, and crisis counseling to the students in the schools served. The therapist will be responsible for teaching a Social and Emotional program to all classes in the assigned school and assisting principals and education staff in handling challenging behavior. This is a 10‑month position with a work schedule of August 1 – May 31. Minimum Qualifications Master's Degree in Counseling or Social Work with licensure in the State of Ohio; Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Licensed Social Worker, or Licensed Independent Social Worker. Experience providing mental health treatment to a variety of clientele. Successful experience working with people from various social and cultural communities. Valid driver's license and low‑risk driving record that is insurable by the University. Preferred Qualifications While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following: Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW). Mental health counseling experience in a K‑12 school setting. Knowledge of Catholic schools and their culture. Demonstrated successful experience working independently and productively. Demonstrated successful experience working as part of a team. Demonstrated flexibility in day‑to‑day activities. Demonstrated experience building and sustaining relationships and partnerships with school staff and community.
