Senior Electrical Engineer

As a member of the Hardware Engineering team, you will own critical electrical designs and subsystems, translating product and system requirements into robust, highly integrated hardware. You will work closely with Electrical, Mechanical, Firmware, Systems, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Product teams to make design tradeoffs, develop and validate new hardware, and bring complex electrical systems from early development through high-volume production.RESPONSIBILITIES:Own electrical designs and subsystems, translating system requirements into electrical specifications, component selections, schematics, and production-ready hardwareDesign highly integrated, miniaturized, low-power, mixed-signal electronics, making thoughtful tradeoffs across performance, power, size, cost, reliability, manufacturability, and scheduleDrive electrical designs from concept through schematic capture, PCB layout and design review, prototype bring-up, characterization, debugging, design iteration, verification, and productionPartner closely with Electrical, Mechanical, Firmware, Systems, Manufacturing, and other engineering teams to define interfaces, contribute to system-level tradeoffs, and ensure electrical designs perform reliably within the complete productEvaluate new components, technologies, and design approaches that enable future product capabilities and improve electrical system performanceSupport NPI and high-volume manufacturing by partnering with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, suppliers, and contract manufacturers on design for manufacturability, functional testing, failure analysis, and production rampTravel up to 15% domestically and internationally to collaborate with partners, suppliers, and contract manufacturersQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience5+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience, with demonstrated ownership of electrical hardware designs from concept through prototype, validation, and productionStrong electrical engineering fundamentals across analog and digital circuit design, power architecture and power management, component selection, communication interfaces, and debugging of complex electrical systemsDemonstrated experience designing highly integrated electronics, including schematic capture, PCB design and layout review, and making component- and subsystem-level design tradeoffsExperience with ECAD tools such as Altium or equivalent toolsStrong hands-on hardware development skills, including prototype bring-up, circuit characterization, debugging, and use of electrical test and measurement equipmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently drive ambiguous technical problems and communicate design decisions effectively across multidisciplinary teamsStrong commitment to embracing and leveraging AI tools in day-to-day tasks, ensuring AI-assisted work aligns with the same high-quality standards as personal contributions.Interested in the role, but don’t meet every qualification? Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within each range, individual pay is based on factors such as job-related skills, experience, performance, and relevant education or training. In addition to the base salary, the successful candidate will also receive benefits and a generous equity package.. These ranges may be modified in the future to reflect evolving market conditions and organizational needs.
