Job Description

This role offers an opportunity to develop your carpentry skills on a large, multi-building retail and office construction project in Loveland, Colorado, running through October 2027. You will support rough carpentry activities across 12 retail buildings and a three-story office building, working closely with other trades on a busy, professional construction site. Upon completion, long-term projects will be located around the Denver Metro Area.

Responsibilities

• Perform rough carpentry tasks, including blocking and backing work, to support framing and structural components.

• Install anchor bolt templates accurately to ensure proper alignment and secure connections.

• Install door hardware as directed, ensuring correct fit and function.

• Maintain versatility by taking on a variety of tasks as they arise on site to keep work progressing efficiently.

• Support construction activities on retail and office building projects, following plans and instructions from supervisors and lead carpenters.

• Use company-provided tools, personal protective equipment, and safety procedures to complete tasks safely and efficiently.

• Collaborate with other subcontractors and trades working on the project to coordinate tasks and maintain a productive work environment.

• Follow site schedules and instructions to complete daily assignments within the designated work hours.

Essential Skills

• 1–2 years of experience as a carpenter apprentice.

• Hands-on experience with rough carpentry, including blocking and backing work.

• Ability to install anchor bolt templates and basic door hardware under supervision.

• Versatility to perform a wide range of rough carpentry tasks rather than heavy finish carpentry.

• Strong work ethic and energy, with a willingness to stay busy and take initiative on site.

• Ability to work effectively on active construction sites with multiple subcontractors.

• Reliability in adhering to scheduled work hours and site rules.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience on retail or office building construction projects is a plus.

• Comfort working with company-provided tools and safety equipment such as hard hats, safety glasses, and gloves.

• Willingness to transition to other projects, including potential work on a project along Highway 7 in Erie after October 2027.

Work Environment

The role is based on a retail and office construction project in Loveland, Colorado, consisting of 12 retail buildings and one three-story office building with approximately 55 subcontractors on site. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with occasional Saturday work as needed. The company provides all tools required for the job, as well as hard hats, safety glasses, and gloves. The environment is an active construction site where you work outdoors and indoors as needed, coordinating with other trades and adapting to changing site conditions. There is a strong possibility of transitioning to another project along Highway 7 in Erie after October 2027, offering continuity of employment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Thornton, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
