POSITION SUMMARY:

The lead barista has proven ability to provide quality customer service and demonstrated knowledge of coffee products, equipment, and tea products. They will serve all products with friendly, individualized attention towards each guest. Exceptional customer service skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of coffee will enable you to deliver a great service experience to every customer. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Prepare and serve a range of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, and specialty drinks, while maintaining consistent taste and presentation standards. Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, providing exceptional customer service at all times. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including coffee preparation areas, equipment, coffee condiment stations and dining areas. Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of customers and colleagues. Stay up to date with coffee industry trends, including new blends, brewing methods, and flavor profiles, and make recommendations to customers. Assist in restocking inventory, tracking supplies, and notify management when items need to be replenished. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and contribute to a positive work environment. Uphold company policies and procedures, including adhering to work schedules, dress code, and attendance guidelines.

EDUCATION/WORKING KNOWLEDGE:

Two years of experience as a Barista in an upscale restaurant or hotel preferred. Specialize in creating excellent coffee-based beverages, complete with latte art or artisan twists. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional attention to detail to maintain high cleanliness and presentation standards. Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues. Fluent in Italian preferred.
