About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience on the cardiac floor required. License: Active nursing license required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Minimum 2 years of experience in cardiac telemetry or related fields. Traveler experience required unless the candidate has more than 24 months of cardiac experience. Skills in managing dysrhythmias and cardiac drips. Ability to manage post MI and pre/post cardiac catheterization. Description: Registered Nurses will provide care in a cardiac telemetry unit. Responsibilities include monitoring patients with cardiac conditions. Candidates must interpret dysrhythmias and manage cardiac medication drips. Experience in sheath removal and non-invasive airway management is preferred. Nurses will work in a patient ratio of 1:6, varying by acuity. Flexibility to float to other units based on staffing needs is necessary. Weekend work includes four shifts every four weeks, with some flexibility. Candidates should be prepared to work during catastrophic events or disasters. Knowledge of patient diagnoses such as atrial fibrillation, CHF, ACS, and CAD is important. Experience with special procedures including CABG, TAVR, and pacemaker placements is desirable. Familiarity with equipment such as EKG monitors and chest tubes is required. Candidates will use documentation systems effectively for managing patient care. Interdisciplinary support from various healthcare staff will be available.
