Description: The position requires the individual to work a varying schedule from 7 AM to 5:30 PM. Weekend work is required once or twice a month, covering Saturday and Sunday from 8 AM to 6 PM. On-call duties are necessary during the weekdays and weekends. Weekday on-call is about 2-3 times a month, while weekend on-call is 2 times every other month. The daily caseload per technician is expected to be 7-8 for an 8-hour shift and 8-10 for a 10-hour shift. Candidates with less than 1 year of experience are encouraged to apply. It is necessary to provide a radiation badge, which will be supplied by the agency. The facility allows for floating to sister facilities. All requested time off must be included at the time of submission. The facility has the option to call off one shift per two weeks. This is a teaching hospital with a total of 865 staffed beds. Candidates must be prepared for potential emergency response assignments during hurricane season, running from June through November. The ideal candidate will possess skills in 2-D Echo, 3-D Echo, Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, Bubble Study, Color Doppler, and other echocardiographic procedures. The candidate must be capable of performing routine studies and specialized procedures as required.
