Job Title: Machine Operator

Pay Rate:
Day Shift: $22/hr.
Night Shift: $23/hr. + $1.25/hr. shift differential = $24.25/hour

Location: Franklin, MA area
Duration: Direct Hire
Schedule: 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule, including days and nights. Employees work a 4-day week followed by a 3-day week, averaging 36–48 hours per week.

1st Shift: 7 AM - 7 PM

3rd Shift: 7PM - 7 AM

Position Summary

We are seeking reliable Machine Operators to join a manufacturing team responsible for operating and monitoring industrial production equipment. This position involves machine setup, material handling, quality checks, troubleshooting, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate various industrial production and converting equipment.
• Load and position large material rolls onto production machinery.
• Adjust equipment settings to maintain established operating specifications and tolerances.
• Monitor production processes and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and productivity.
• Use material-handling equipment such as overhead hoists, forklifts, carts, and dollies.
• Follow production schedules, work instructions, specifications, checklists, and verbal direction.
• Inspect products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Monitor equipment performance and verify that process controls and safety features are functioning properly.
• Perform routine product and process checks as required.
• Recognize equipment issues, production abnormalities, and quality concerns and communicate them to the appropriate supervisor.
• Assist with troubleshooting and identifying the cause of equipment or process problems.
• Maintain clean and organized equipment and work areas.
• Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and established operating practices.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs. with appropriate assistance or equipment.
• Ability to follow established procedures while using good judgment during machine setup and operation.
• Previous forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand English-language safety instructions, work instructions, and basic production documentation.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, fractions, and basic formulas.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience with 5S or other workplace organization practices is a plus.
• Willingness to work a rotating 12-hour schedule, including weekends and overnight shifts.
