North Brooklyn Dental Care is hiring an experienced, patient-centered Registered Dental Hygienist to join our growing practice and we know great hygienists are hard to find, so we've built a role worth applying for.Why Hygienists Choose UsCompetitive Pay: $60–$67/hour, based on experienceWork-Life Balance: Monday–Friday only no weekends, no eveningsModern Technology: Digital radiography, intraoral imaging, and iTero scanningSupportive Team: Collaborative, assisted hygiene model so you're never working alonePredictable Schedule: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday through FridayWhat You'll DoPerform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history review, periodontal charting, risk evaluation, and radiographs per NY State regulationsProvide preventive and therapeutic care: prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, periodontal maintenance, fluoride treatments, and sealantsIdentify conditions requiring doctor evaluation and coordinate exams and treatment planningEducate patients on oral health, home care, and treatment recommendationsMaintain accurate, timely electronic documentationOperate digital technology including radiography, intraoral imaging, and iTero scanningSupport patient flow and schedule efficiency in a high-volume, assisted hygiene modelWhat We're Looking ForRequiredActive New York State Dental Hygiene License in good standingCurrent CPR/BLS CertificationPreferredLocal Anesthesia Certification (MDS)Nitrous Oxide Monitoring Certification1–2+ years of clinical hygiene experience; high-volume practice experience a plusExperience with Open Dental, Apteryx, and iTeroStrong periodontal assessment and risk-based treatment planning skillsWho Thrives HereOur ideal hygienist is empathetic and communicates clearly with a diverse patient population, stays organized and efficient in a fast-paced setting, and works well as part of a collaborative clinical team.
