Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS preferred Must-Have: - Minimum 2 years of experience in medical surgical and orthopedic nursing - Experience in trauma Level I hospitals - Previous travel experience required - Team nursing experience is preferred - Cerner experience is preferred Description: The Registered Nurse will work on a medical surgical orthopedic unit. This role requires the nurse to manage a variety of patient diagnoses and conditions. Team nursing ratios will be implemented, and candidates should discuss specific ratios during the interview. On-call duties may be required as needed. Weekend work may also be required as needed. Candidates must be willing to accommodate scheduling preferences. Travel nurses must adhere to a strict rule regarding local travel, residing outside a specified distance from the facility. All required information must be submitted upon application to ensure compliance with facility policies. Candidates should demonstrate flexibility during holiday seasons, as the facility may require shifts over Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. Nurses may be floated between like units within a designated mileage radius, but floating between campuses will be rare. Successful candidates will exemplify professionalism and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. This position is for those looking to expand their experience within a large hospital setting.
