Pre-School Pre K Speech Therapist in Quincy, MA

Step into an impactful role this fall supporting pre-kindergarten students as a Speech-Language Pathologist on a contract basis. This maternity leave position, covering September 3rd through November 25th, focuses on delivering high-quality speech and language services in a vibrant, supportive school environment near Quincy, MA.
You'll work directly with both integrated and sub-separate special education students, making a positive difference each day as they take crucial steps in their communication development.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and valid state licensure/certification
- Previous experience in school settings, especially with Pre-K and pre-school populations
- Solid skills in designing and implementing therapy for a diverse caseload
- Familiarity with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems
- Strong behavioral management techniques tailored to young learners
- Able to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team and communicate well with families
- Provide speech/language therapy services tailored to small group and individual needs
- Develop and implement targeted interventions for students with a variety of communication disorders
- Consult and collaborate with classroom staff, related service providers, and families
- Document progress and maintain accurate student records, ensuring compliance with IEP goals
- Contribute to IEP planning and related meetings as needed
- Utilize AAC as appropriate, adapting strategies to best support each student's learning
