What You’ll Do

• Provide hospital coverage, including IR procedures like thoracentesis, paracentesis, drain placements, and biopsies
• Perform stroke CTs, ED and ICU imaging studies
• Conduct lumbar punctures, barium studies, and CT/US biopsies
• Assist in outpatient building with contrast-enhanced CTs, MRIs, and breast biopsies
• Supervise and perform basic IR procedures and imaging follow-ups
• Collaborate with hospital staff, radiology nurses, and tech teams to deliver high-quality care

What You Need

• Valid California Medical License with active board certification or eligibility in Radiology
• Minimum of 2+ years of IR procedural experience in acute care hospital settings
• Skilled in IR procedures such as thoracentesis, chest tubes, biopsies, lumbar punctures
• Proficient in acute care imaging and stroke protocols
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

About the Assignment

This position is based at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital, a general acute care facility with stroke certification. The radiologist will handle hospital and outpatient imaging needs, including procedures requiring IR expertise. The facility serves a busy ED with approximately 85-90 patients daily, and handles a wide variety of urgent and scheduled imaging studies.
