Manufacturing Cost Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Cost Accountant to support our manufacturing operations through accurate cost analysis, inventory management, profitability reporting, and ERP-driven data insights. This role partners closely with both Finance and Operations to ensure costing accuracy, identify opportunities for process improvement, and provide meaningful analysis that supports strategic business decisions. This role is 100% onsite! Investigate costing variances and profitability concerns, resolving issues before shipment whenever possible. Monitor inventory valuation, costing accuracy, and inventory transactions within the ERP system. Develop and maintain ERP dashboards, KPI reporting, exception reports, and automated tools to improve visibility into manufacturing performance. Analyze manufacturing costs, labor utilization, material variances, scrap, rework, and overall operational efficiency. Support standard costing processes, overhead rates, machine rates, and estimating models. Conduct customer and product profitability analyses to support pricing strategies and business decision-making. Collaborate with finance, operations, production, and leadership teams to improve processes and reporting accuracy. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred. 3-4+ years experience in manufacturing cost accounting required. Strong understanding of job costing, inventory accounting, and manufacturing processes. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required; ERP system experience required. Ability to work effectively across both finance and operational teams. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
