Quality Assurance Technician

Manufacturing PositionShift: 1st ShiftPosition Type: Full TimeSchedule: 9:00 AM-7:00 PM (OT/ weekends/holidays as required)*May vary, depending on business needsCompensation Details: Pay Rate: $21.50/hrRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma or G.E.D.Minimum of 1 year of experience manufacturing environment.Ability and willingness to follow Standard Operating Procedures.Ability to receive written and verbal directions.Ability to understand general work processes.Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Products (Outlook, Word, and Excel).Working knowledge of Word in a label-making capacity.Good verbal and written communication skills.Detail-oriented, excellent record-keeping and documentation skills.Responsible, reliable, and attentive to timelines.Understand and follow Good Manufacturing Practices.Familiarity and understanding of Critical Control Points (CCPs), SOPs and Quality Standards.Familiarity with ingredients, processes, and finished product disposition.Preferred QualificationsBi-lingual (English, Spanish)Prior experience in food manufacturing.ResponsibilitiesEnsure adherence to company employee safety, food safety, and GMP policies.Perform monitoring checks as assigned to ensure compliance to established procedures, customer specifications and/or Work Order instructions.Perform incoming goods, in-process and finished product inspections in accordance with current procedures.Identify and report non-conforming goods or process failures to FSQA leadership.Perform and/or verify equipment calibration in accordance with current procedures.Conduct daily GMP inspections in production and warehouse areas.Visually inspect and test equipment and machinery post-sanitation activities.Assist in managing retained sample inventory.Monitor Critical Control Points.Ensure below standard raw materials and finished products are contained and removed from available inventory.Manage and review COA/COC for incoming goods as needed.Perform additional duties as requested by the FSQA Lead/Supervisor.Physical RequirementsExposure to standard production environmentAbility to lift 25 / 40 / 50 lbsExtended hours of standing and walkingAbility to work in refrigerated environment.Normal vision, hearing sensitivity and manual dexterity is necessary in position.Latitude 36 Foods is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and we take great pride in our diverse and talented workforce.
