We are seeking a skilled Union Class A Truck Driver to operate Class A vehiclesincluding belly dumps, side dumps, and tandem truckson highway heavy construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong safety record, experience with highway heavy construction materials transport, and a commitment to professional conduct and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate Class A vehicles (belly dump, side dump, tandem) for transport of materials within and between highway construction sites.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs as necessary.
- Ensure loads are evenly balanced and adequately secured for transport.
- Accurately fill out haul sheets, mileage, and other required forms.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and provide a professional appearance at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, crew members, and supervisors.
- Follow all company safety standards and Federal DOT regulations.
- Participate in overtime and out-of-town assignments as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
- Minimum 3 years of recent experience driving dump trucks, side dumps, and tandem trucks for highway or heavy construction projects.
- Clean driving record (MVR) and current DOT medical card.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to travel and work overtime as required by the project schedule.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical activities as required by the position.
