Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Registered Nurse (RN) , you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.

• Completes initial patient assessment and reassessments as indicated by patient condition, and assures practices comply with human resources, policies/procedures, and professional standards.
• Demonstrates critical thinking by implementing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation) and using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems, and assures practices comply with human resources, policies/procedures, and professional standards.
• Manages medication administration and intravenous (IV) access according to physician's orders and assures practices comply with human resources, policies/procedures, and professional standards.
• Documents nursing care and patient status in accordance with the nursing process and assures practices comply with human resources, policies/procedures, and professional standards.
• Communication abilities sufficient to promote patient and family centered care by interacting with patients, families, and care-delivery team in verbal and written form and assures practices comply with human resources, policies/procedures, and professional standards.

Job Requirements

Required

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One (1) year experience as an RN in an acute care setting.
• Registered Nurse: NV
• Basic Life Support - CPR
• Cancer Chemotherapy Provider, within 6 - months
• Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements
• NIHSS = NIH Stroke-AM Stroke ASC- Nat'l

Preferred

• Bachelors Of Nursing Nursing
• One (1) year acute care experience,preferably with an oncology focus.
