Central Supply Clerk Troy Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center – Troy, Ohio Troy Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking an organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Central Supply Clerk to join our team! This is an important behind-the-scenes role that helps ensure our nursing team has the supplies and equipment needed to provide excellent care to our residents. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of our central supply processes while working closely with nursing leadership and other departments. Responsibilities Maintain an organized and adequately stocked central supply department. Monitor inventory levels and maintain appropriate par levels for nursing and resident care supplies. Order medical, nursing, personal care, and other facility supplies according to established procedures. Receive deliveries and verify shipments for accuracy. Stock and distribute supplies to nursing units and other departments. Monitor utilization of supplies and identify unusual usage, shortages, or opportunities to reduce waste. Maintain accurate inventory and purchasing records. Assist with tracking resident-specific supplies and appropriate charges when applicable. Help manage the facility's incontinence supply program, including monitoring product usage and ensuring appropriate products and sizes are available. Track medical equipment, rental equipment, and other facility-owned items as assigned. Maintain clean, safe, and organized supply and storage areas. Work within established purchasing guidelines and departmental budgets. Communicate anticipated shortages, supply concerns, or budget variances to facility leadership. Coordinate with vendors regarding orders, deliveries, returns, discrepancies, and product availability. Work closely with the Director of Nursing, Administrator, Business Office, and other department leaders. Participate in inventory counts and audits as needed. Follow facility policies related to infection prevention, safety, storage, and regulatory compliance. Perform additional duties as assigned to support facility operations. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience with central supply, inventory management, purchasing, healthcare, or skilled nursing is preferred. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records. Basic computer skills and ability to learn electronic ordering and inventory systems. Ability to communicate professionally with staff, leadership, and vendors. Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work independently. Must be comfortable receiving, moving, stocking, and organizing boxes and supplies throughout the facility.
