Experienced Wood Finisher

Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Shift: 2nd Shift -Monday–Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Job Summary

Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We're seeking an Experienced Wood Finisher to join our team in Grand Rapids, MI. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our operations, helping us deliver high-quality wood furniture and components by applying consistent, professional finishes that meet company quality standards.

What You'll Be Doing

As an Experienced Wood Finisher , your core responsibilities will include:

Preparing wood surfaces: Sanding and prepping wood furniture and components to ensure smooth, high-quality finishes.
Applying finishes and coatings: Staining, painting, and applying protective coatings to enhance durability and appearance.
Operating finishing equipment: Safely using spray guns and finishing equipment to achieve consistent, professional results.

In addition, you will also be expected to maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, collaborate with team members, and assist with minor maintenance of finishing equipment.

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you should have the following:

Qualifications

Prior experience as a wood finisher or in a similar finishing role
Experience spraying and staining wood furniture components
Ability to work full-time and overtime as needed

Skills

Attention to detail: Essential for ensuring finishes meet appearance and quality standards.
Equipment operation skills: Required to safely and effectively use spray guns and finishing tools.
Teamwork: Strong collaboration skills to meet production goals in a manufacturing environment.
