Host Position:

A Host's duties primarily focus on ensuring the guests have a positive experience as soon as they enter the restaurant. Hosts are responsible for welcoming customers to a food service environment and ensuring that they are seated and receive attentive service. Their duties include maintaining a waitlist of patrons during busy meal service, passing out menus and accepting phone calls.

Job Duties:

• Keeping all work areas clean & organized, re-stocking service stands.
• Addresses complaints promptly in a courteous manner and notifies leadership of any issues.
• Greeting customers as they enter and exit the restaurant.
• Helping guests and guiding them to their table
• Providing customers with menus and answering any initial questions they may have.
• Optimizing seating at different tables
• Provides prompt and courteous service and is cordial to all team members and guests.
• Completes all other tasks and duties as assigned.
• Comply with all health, safety, and hygiene standards and policies.

Required Experience:

The person in this position needs to be:

• 17 years of age or older
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Detail oriented with ability to prioritize tasks.
• Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with other staff
• Maintain professional presentation (must adhere to company dress code)
• Ability to think clearly in a fast-paced work environment.
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing.
