The Role

This role is an opportunity to work within Fidelity Investments’ Enterprise Cybersecurity business unit. In this space you will work to prevent vulnerabilities from being introduced into source code, and to identify vulnerabilities already present. You will learn and drive adoption of key principles of secure software development and security tooling operations within a DevSecOps environment.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• Skilled at technical writing, ability to document secure software development details in a way that’s highly consumable by software development teams
• Solid understanding of security principles
• Strong hands-on cross platform technical skills across multiple platforms
• Experience in understanding and assessing business processes, analyzing and assessing business process controls, identifying risks and linking business risks to the relevant IT application controls and audit procedures.
• Proven experience and working knowledge of secure software development methodologies
• Experience in agile methodology to deliver results
• Customer Service skills and the ability to work with different development teams to align with the designed security model
• College Degree preferred
• Manage projects from end to end and provide scheduled updates as needed
• Identify and implement solutions for process improvement and increased efficiencies
• Interact with technology teams and business partners on various issues related to secure software development and vulnerability scanning
• Ensure all processes are well documented and communicated to appropriate teams
• Ability to investigate and solve complex technology issues
• Strong hands-on cross platform technical skills and willingness to learn
• Ability to easily work with non-security teams to integrate security controls on projects
• Must have strong written/verbal communication, people, and client service skills
• Strength in communicating effectively with both technicians and executives
• Demonstrated ability to handle heavy multi-tasking
• Clear ability to complete work with minimal oversight

The Team

Enterprise Cybersecurity provides worldwide technology and support to all businesses under the Fidelity Investments umbrella. The Cybersecurity Consultant will primarily focus on providing secure software development guidance to software developers and development teams, as well as on security scanning source code. The role will provide subject matter expertise in information security principles and secure software development with a focus on DevSecOps automation.
