This role supports both external client accounts and Blacksmith's own internal lead generation efforts. You'll be responsible for building performance-focused campaigns that drive measurable results; whether that's leads, revenue, or brand awareness. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, hands-on with ad platforms, and comfortable working across multiple accounts while aligning paid strategy with design, SEO, and content teams.Position benefits:Competitive pay100% remote workHigh visibility on projects with real impactOpportunity to shape PPC process and best practices at an established digital agencyA no-drama, results-focused team that values autonomy and executionOpportunity to work and grow at an award-winning digital agencyEssential Functions and Responsibilities:Plan, launch, and manage paid search campaigns in Google Ads for multiple clientsCreate strategy for campaign structures aligned with client goals, including search, display, remarketing, and performance max (when appropriate)Conduct keyword research, audience targeting, and write/edit ad copySet up conversion tracking and ensure attribution accuracy via GA4, GTM, and/or CRM integrationsMonitor daily spend and pacing to keep campaigns within budget while hitting CPA/CPL goalsIdentify and manage negative keywords to improve efficiencyAnalyze campaign performance weekly and implement ongoing optimizations (bids, copy tests, landing page suggestions, etc.)Prepare monthly performance reports with clear takeaways and next-step recommendationsCollaborate with SEO, design, and development teams to align paid campaigns with broader digital strategy and landing page performanceStay current on Google Ads updates, keyword trends, and performance benchmarksManage additional ad platforms as needed, including Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and BingMust Have Qualifications:10+ years of hands-on experience managing Google Ads (Google AdWords) campaignsProven track record of delivering measurable growth through PPC, with examples supported by first-party data (e.g., CTR, CPL, ROAS, rankings)Proficient in Google Ads Editor and Google Keyword PlannerStrong understanding of campaign structure, optimization, and ROI trackingFamiliarity with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and performance reporting toolsExcellent communication and collaboration skills in a remote team environmentBonus Qualifications:Google Ads CertificationExperience with Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram), LinkedIn Ads, and Bing AdsUnderstanding of landing page optimization and conversion rate optimization (CRO)Experience working in a digital agency environmentExperience with project management tools such as Jira, ClickUp, or AsanaCheck out our website at
