Industrial Safety Advisor

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Industrial Safety Advisor to join our team in Louisville, KY. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and the integrity of our operations. You will be working 1st shift, in a fabrication shop type of environment. This opportunity is with a very well established company. It is an assistant type of role where you will be working and learning directly from our safety manager to take over running safety protocols independently. Responsibilities Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards. Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA regulations. Provide training and guidance to employees on safety protocols and best practices. Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions. Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety within the organization. Prepare and maintain safety documentation and reports for regulatory compliance. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in safety regulations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety or a related field is preffered. Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial safety or a similar role. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety management systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) are a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
