Job Description

This role is full-time 40 hours per week, daylight, and is located at Allegheny General Hospital on the North Side of Pittsburgh, PA.

Analyzes and interrogates pacemakers, ICDs and implantable loop recorders across the cardiology practices. Supports the telemonitoring program by reviewing the data and maintaining software application.

Essential Responsibilities

1. Demonstrates extensive knowledge and understanding of pacer equipment.
2. Analyzes and re-programs all pacemakers with various programs.
3. Performs independent quarterly transtelephonic pacemaker checks.
4. Is responsible for all data through software application.
5. Reprograms devices as ordered by the physician.
6. Maintains follow up appointments for pacemaker and ICD patients.
7. Conducts family and patient education on care of pacemaker/ICD's.
8. Performs EKGs as needed.
9. Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

Minimum

• Associates degree and one or more years related experience and training
• BLS certification
• 1 year experience as a Senior Monitor technician

Preferred

• 1 year in electrophysiology field
