Maintenance Director

Overview Cranberry Park West Bloomfield is looking for an experienced Maintenance Director. The Maintenance Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the facility, both inside and outside, by maintaining a safe, clean and comfortable environment for the residents. They will oversee the maintenance of all facility plumbing, HVAC, electrical, mechanical and equipment repair. Responsibilities Respond to all building emergencies Review Daily Log and Maintenance Log Respond to requests and concerns from residents, family members and team members Maintain all painted surfaces and flooring throughout the community Prepare rooms for new residents and assist with move-ins and move-outs Maintain the grounds by collecting trash, sweeping dumpster areas and cleaning first impression areas Maintain the HVAC system to ensure proper air quality and comfortable temperatures Test, schedule inspections and maintain proper documentation on the fire protection systems Conduct fire and disaster drills following the appropriate policy and procedure guidelines Perform all other duties as assigned Qualifications Experience and/or knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and code compliance Experience in maintaining water source heat pumps is a plus Experience with OSHA and life safety regulations High school diploma or GED required Experience in a retirement community, nursing home or assisted living community is a plus Basic computer knowledge Ability to multitask Ability to communicate and document in English effectively Must be able to verify eligibility to work in the United States Must pass a criminal background check Must have a current TB test and Physical (if required by the position) Working Conditions / Physical Demands Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Kneel, crouch and bend frequently Must be able to stand for the entire shift Is subject to callback during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.) May be subject to the handling of and exposure to hazardous chemicals #J-18808-Ljbffr
