Role : Data Warehouse Professional Location: Austin, TX Hybrid (2 days onsite and 3 days REMOTE) Job Type : Contract Candidate must be within 50 miles of Austin, TX Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Professional with strong expertise in Data Warehousing, ETL Development, Data Modeling, Business Intelligence, Reporting, and Database Technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise data warehouses, developing ETL solutions, and supporting reporting and analytics initiatives. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Data Warehouse solutions. Gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Develop logical and physical data models. Build and maintain ETL processes using enterprise ETL tools. Design and implement Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and normalized data models. Create and maintain data dictionaries and metadata repositories. Develop reporting and analytical solutions using BI tools. Perform data analysis, validation, and quality assurance. Optimize SQL queries and database performance. Work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams. Support data migration, transformation, and integration projects. Required Skills & Experience Data Warehousing 5+ years of Data Warehouse implementation experience. Experience with Data Warehouse architecture and Data Marts. Strong understanding of Data Modeling concepts. Database Technologies Oracle SQL Server Teradata Enterprise Database Platforms ETL Tools Informatica IBM DataStage Other Enterprise ETL Tools Business Intelligence & Reporting Business Objects Cognos Hyperion MicroStrategy Similar Reporting Platforms Must Have Skills Strong knowledge of database management systems, as well as data warehouse management and decision support tools Extensive experience in the development, implementation and maintenance of data warehouses and data marts is desired Experience in business objects and in building the data dictionary Ability to use data base access tools for application delivery Strong familiarity with analysis, planning and management reporting functions Well-developed oral and written communications skills Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills Extremely high level of analytical ability where problems are very unusual and extremely difficult Understanding of benchmarking processes and techniques Very high level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate employees, and elicit work output Data Warehousing data population and data modeling techniques for target structures such as Star Schemas, Snowflake Schemas, and highly normalized data models GUI based ETL tools such as Informatica, IBM WebSphere DataStage, or similar tools. Implementation experience with enterprise class databases e.g. Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, etc. or similar technologies. Implementation experience with analytical and reporting tools e.g. Business Objects, Cognos, Hyperion, MicroStrategy or similar tools. Experience with data warehouse implementation process, from business requirements through logical modeling, physical database design, data sourcing and data transformation, data loading, Structured Query Language (SQL), end-user tools, database and SQL. Implementation experience with analytical and reporting tools e.g. Business Objects, Cognos, Hyperion, MicroStrategy or similar tools. Excellent analytical; problem-solving; team playing; and oral and written communication skills. Proven ability to work successfully with technical and non-technical groups and manage multiple responsibilities.
