Patient Support TechnicianJob Summary: Every Sunday off, major holidays off, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day! The Dialysis Support Technician assists Patient Care Technician with the deliverance and coordination of hemodialysis therapy, involving preparation of the patient, equipment, and supplies associated with such therapy, as well as all other relevant duties and those assigned by the Clinic Manager.Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Preparation of dialysis equipment for the performance of hemodialysisPreparation of bicarbonate for treatmentKeep treatment room stations stocked with adequate supplies for the day'sResponds to patient needs: emergency situations, bedpans, and transportationMaintain the confidentiality of all Practice information regarding patients, coworkers and physiciansRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Must possess ability to communicate effectively and express ideas clearly and concisely as this position requires frequent contact with patients, physicians, and nursing staffMust possess ability to meet physical demands of the position. These include, but are not limited to, constant sitting, standing, bending, lifting and moving.
