Maitre D

Mixteca Philly is looking for a personable, community-oriented Maitre d’ to lead the door and create a welcoming, energetic guest experience. This role manages reservations and dining room flow while serving as a key connection between guests, the floor, and management.

The ideal candidate is tapped into Philadelphia’s restaurant and hospitality communities, enjoys building relationships, and understands how to create a strong presence at the door.

Must be available Thursday, Friday, and Saturday

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage reservations, walk-ins, waitlists, and overall dining room flow
• Build relationships with regulars, new guests, and the local Philadelphia community
• Communicate with the floor and management to support smooth service and table pacing
• Maintain accurate guest notes, reservation details, and cover counts with Resy OS
• Review VIPs, celebrations, and important guest information before service
• Assist with training and ongoing support for host team

Qualifications:

• Previous Maitre d’, lead host, or similar front-of-house experience.
• Excellent communication, organization, and guest-service skills.
• Comfortable managing reservations and making quick decisions during busy service.
• Reservation platform experience preferred.
• Thursday, Friday, and Saturday availability required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and move throughout the shift.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
