Data Analyst

Transform raw survey data into trusted, analysis-ready insights that power Gallup’s research and client impact. As a data analyst at Gallup, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the quality, integrity and usability of data that informs high‑stakes decisions. You will clean, transform and prepare complex datasets that enable researchers and internal teams to deliver accurate, meaningful insights to clients around the world. What You’ll Do Clean, merge and transform raw survey datasets from Gallup data collection methods, vendor sources and client‑provided files Apply data governance standards by removing or managing personally identifiable information and safeguarding sensitive data Execute data plans by recoding, restructuring and validating data for internal researchers and practice teams Perform independent data quality checks and proofs to ensure datasets are accurate, complete and ready for analysis Create datasets, tabs and index pilots based on project needs Support internal and external databases through ongoing data cleaning and quality control Partner with researchers, methodologists and internal stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and readiness Who We Want Strategic problem‑solvers who not only resolve issues efficiently but also anticipate risks and design better systems to prevent future problems Self‑directed achievers who take ownership of their work, operate with urgency and consistently deliver high‑quality output with minimal oversight Highly organized perfectionists who manage multiple deadlines with precision and maintain uncompromising standards for data integrity Collaborative partners whose clear communication and service mindset make them trusted contributors across teams Inquisitive thinkers who are motivated to discover patterns, expand their expertise, and explore emerging technologies in data and analytics What You Need Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in data analytics, data science or business intelligence; will consider May 2026 graduates Experience using R and Python required; SPSS preferred; proficiency in additional statistical and programming languages a plus Strong statistical knowledge required Demonstrated ability to clean and transform large datasets required Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts and the current AI landscape required A commitment to working on‑site at Gallup’s Omaha office at least three days per week required Eligibility to work in the United States required; this position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship What You’ll Experience Mission‑driven work: Make a meaningful difference in the world with your unique contributions, commitment to service and exceptional outcomes.
