RN House Supervisor PRN

Job Title

Job Relationships: Responsible to the Director of Nursing Practice Excellence and Central Staffing.

Definition of Position: Assumes responsibility for supervision and administrative decision making for the care and coordination of nursing and patient care services during the evening, night, weekend and holiday shifts. Assures that the hospital policies and procedures are followed.

Qualifications

Professional: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina. Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing, Baccalaureate preferred. Minimum of two (2) years of experience such as a Clinical Leader, Team Leader, Charge Nurse. Previous experience in patient placement preferred. Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification required. Current ACLS certification or completion of ACLS within 6 months of employment. Demonstrates excellent communication skills, able to work independently, inter-dependently, and set priorities, possess critical thinking skills. Member of a professional organization is desirable. Familiarity with current trends/issues pertinent to hospital patient care practices and health care issues.
