We are seeking a motivated individual with strong mechanical aptitude to join our Dental Service team. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside the best in the dental industry, providing first‑class customer service while learning to install and repair a variety of dental equipment, including computer‑related items. Essential Functions Safely remove, modify, repair, and install dental equipment under general supervision; work independently after training. Follow checklists, ensuring all critical parts are examined. Demonstrate knowledge of installation procedures and jobsite protocol. Apply manufacturer and Patterson guidelines, OSHA, and other applicable regulations related to asepsis. Perform additional duties as assigned. Customer Service Supports customer needs through timely, professional responses. Demonstrates a people‑first approach by treating customers with respect and consideration, and builds relationships through follow‑up and courteous interactions. Communication Understands and conveys information to customers. Listens attentively, asks clarifying questions, and explains technical aspects of technology to non‑technical audiences using general terminology. Additional Functions Work ethic: Commitment, urgency, and persistence while following Patterson's business conduct and ethics. Problem‑solving skills: Anticipate problems and customer needs, and go beyond training to find answers. Interpersonal skills: Establish and maintain productive relationships with customers, vendors, and colleagues; handle difficult situations diplomatically. Inventory management: Determine parts, supplies, and tools needed; manage vehicle inventory and restock as necessary. Personal/vehicle safety: Maintain a quality driving record, represent Patterson Dental while driving company vehicles, and schedule regular vehicle maintenance. Job Qualifications Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Mechanical aptitude required. Strong work ethic and ownership of company and customer goals. Focused on meeting and exceeding customer expectations. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment. Basic computer skills and/or ability to use smartphones/tablets. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Preferred Qualifications Trade school training in carpentry, plumbing, heating, electricity, or electronics (highly desirable but not required). Excellent organization and problem‑solving skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Teams helpful. Working Conditions Physical Demands Remain in stationary or driving position up to 100% of the day. Lift boxes and dental supplies weighing 1–25 pounds up to 75% of the day. Place or maintain equipment, including under cabinets, up to 50% of the day. Reach shoulder or waist level up to 25% of the day. Move equipment weighing 26–49 pounds up to 10% of the day. Move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds into place less than 5% of the day. Climb steps and/or ladders less than 5% of the day. Environmental Factors Position requires traveling to customer locations for service and support. Travel and On‑Call 100% travel to customer sites within a local geographic area. Occasional overnight travel and/or after‑hours service. Compensation Range $20.91 - $27.16 (final offer may exceed this range based on location, experience, and skills).
