Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality ICU nursing care to critically ill patients on the travel assignment.

• Monitor patient status, interpret alarms, and adjust treatments per protocol.

• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records.

• Ensure adherence to infection control, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and update care plans.

• Demonstrate continuous professional development through evidence-based practice and learning opportunities.

• Meet performance targets and contribute to pipeline-driven territory metrics related to patient outcomes.

• Educate patients and families about condition, treatments, and post-discharge care.

• Adapt to diverse clinical settings and travel logistics while maintaining high-quality care.

• Utilize evidence-based protocols to optimize patient throughput and reduce ICU length of stay where appropriate.

• Assist with patient and family counseling regarding prognosis and care options.

• Support on-site orientation of new staff and student nurses when applicable.

Experience/Qualifications

• Active RN license in Arizona or eligibility for licensure transfer.

• BLS and ACLS certification with ICU/critical care experience preferred.

• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience in critical care settings.

• Ability to interpret ICU alarms, interpret monitors, and adjust protocols per policy.

• Strong infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance adherence.

• Travel assignment readiness with valid driver’s license and flexible housing needs.

• Proficiency with electronic health records and clinical documentation standards.

• Excellent communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

• Evidence-based practice mindset with demonstrated professional development.

• Ability to meet performance targets and contribute to pipeline-driven metrics.
