Assistant Clinical Professor, NursingThe College of Nursing is searching for a faculty member for a clinical track position to begin in Fall 2026. Experience in clinical nursing practice is required. The successful candidate will have an appointment with the College of Nursing with primary responsibilities in clinical teaching, with possible classroom teaching, at the undergraduate and graduate levels as appropriate. The candidate will be expected to conduct teaching in clinical, collaborate for placements for students, and collaborate regarding faculty/preceptors as appropriate, participate in student advising and service to the college, and contribute to scholarly activities.Key duties and responsibilities include contributing as appropriate to the university's undergraduate and graduate teaching missions by teaching clinical and other courses as assigned, while mentoring students for the college. Contributing to scholarship. Service as an advisor, mentor, and professional role model to students. Service to the college, university, and professional organizations. Performing other duties as assigned. The incumbent is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.Required qualifications include a Ph.D. or DNP degree at the time of appointment, proficiency in written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, clinical expertise in nursing, eligibility for RN and/or APRN licensure in Rhode Island, and the ability to work with diverse groups/populations. Preferred qualifications include clinical practice experience in pediatrics, but open to other areas of clinical expertise, demonstrated experience in clinical and classroom teaching, and evidence and potential for clinical scholarship.
