- Craft Customized Treatment Programs: Assess patient needs and establish personalized therapy plans designed to help fulfill their functional aspirations.
- Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Utilize evidence-based approaches to bolster patients' physical abilities, cognitive skills, and daily functions.
- Engage with Interdisciplinary Teams: Collaborate intimately with OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nurses to deliver comprehensive and holistic patient care.
- Educate Patients and Caregivers: Instruct patients and families on therapeutic methods to ensure continued progress outside of clinical settings.
- Track and Adjust Development: Monitor clinical progress and modify treatments as necessary to keep patients on the right path to recovery.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school.
- Ongoing education or post-graduate certifications are encouraged and supported.
- Current Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license.
- NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is mandatory.
- A genuine passion for helping others and a commitment to promoting the highest level of patient independence.
- Clear, compassionate communication skills for interactions with both patients and team members.
